Sept. 27th Workshop Supply List

Things you may bring. You do not need to bring these, but are helpful when learning!


  1. Blythe Doll
  2. Eye chips
  3. Scissors
  4. Paper, drawing paper. Light stock/not thick paper is preferred
  5. Standard Holepunch (you can find these at walgreens, art stores, Office Depot, etc)
  6. Pens, Pencils, Fancy pencils, Fancy Pens, Etc. Basic drawing materials
  7. Craft Glue
  8. Glue Sticks (Clear sticks used for a glue gun)
  9. Double Sided foam tape (I'll have some if you don't know what this is)
  10. AA Battery x 2
  11. Travel sized Hairspray
  12. Tiny Curlers, Sponge Curlers
  13. Bobby Pins
  14. Mini hair clips/aligator clips/similar hair accessories for babies (I'll have photos up soon of this)

Questions about the Supplies!

Here are some answers to some questions brought up for supplies:

By the "paper kind" of duct tape, do you mean the blue painters tape?
Painters tape is fine to use.

What size rubber bands should I have?
Any sized rubber bands really. If you have the skinny kind, bring a lot! If you have the fatter kind you only need a couple. ;D

If I don't bring an SBL doll, should I bring an RBL, EBL or ADG?
Feel free to bring any blythe doll that you would like help on. We can help you with not just how to open them but general questions on how to do other things.

Workshop #1 | Opening a Blythe Doll Supply List

Supply List #1
1. Philips Screw Driver
2. Long Flat Head Screw Driver
3. Household/Elmers school glue
4. Jewelers Saw/Hand Saw/Hobby Saw (It is important that the blade is fine/thin)
5. Regular duct tape. (paper kind 1" size)
6. Permanent marker/Sharpie/good marking device
7. Extra set of screws (optional) *
8. Extra T-bars (optional) **
9. Pen/Pencil/Notebook/Pad of Paper to take notes
10. Camera (if you want to take your own visual notes) ***
11. Blythe doll of course!
12. Sand Paper (evening out edges of cut areas)
13. Rubber Bands
14. Hobby Knife/Razor with a handle

NOTE:
There are many ways to open a blythe doll. I will discuss them all. But to actually do them in our space, the only option is the saw method. I will also have images posted soon if you want to know what these items look like.
